📦 Digital Product Notice

Plot Twist Parties sells custom digital printable products. When you purchase a game kit, you receive digital files — not a physical product.

Your files will be delivered via a download link sent to your email and accessible through your customer portal. Files are formatted for US Letter (8.5 x 11 inch) paper. Printing is your responsibility.

🛒 Ordering & Production

How Orders Work

All purchases are made through our Etsy shop. After purchase, you'll receive a link to your custom intake form. Production begins only after you submit a complete intake form.

What "Custom" Means

Every game is written specifically for your group based on the details you provide. We do not use pre-written templates or generic scripts. The quality of your game depends significantly on the quality and completeness of your intake submission.

Production Timeline

The production clock starts when we receive your completed intake form — not when you purchase. Incomplete or vague submissions may delay production or result in a game that doesn't meet your expectations.

📬 Delivery

• Standard delivery: 3–5 business days after complete intake submission
• Rush delivery (1–2 business days): available on request, subject to availability, may carry additional fee
• Complex Premium orders (14 players, multiple killers): may require 5–7 business days
• Download links are active for 90 days after delivery
• Re-download requests after 90 days are honored at our discretion

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees. We make every effort to meet stated timelines but are not liable for delays caused by incomplete intake submissions, high order volume, or circumstances outside our control.

💳 Refund Policy

Before Production Begins

If you have purchased but not yet submitted your intake form, contact us via Etsy message. We may be able to cancel your order and issue a refund at our discretion.

After Production Begins

This policy is consistent with Etsy's policies for custom digital goods. By submitting your intake form, you acknowledge that production has begun and that refunds are no longer available.

Exceptions

We will issue a full refund if:

• We are unable to complete your order within a reasonable timeframe
• We determine that your order cannot be fulfilled due to content policy violations
• A technical error prevents delivery of your files

We will not issue refunds for:

• Change of mind after production begins
• Party cancellation after production begins
• Dissatisfaction with the game after a revision has been offered and completed
• Printing errors or costs on your end

✏️ Revision Policy

Revisions are targeted fixes to an existing game — not complete rewrites.

• Mini Mystery: No revision included. Genuine errors (missing content, technical issues) will be corrected at no charge.
• Signature Dinner Mystery: One revision included.
• Premium Immersive Mystery: One revision included.

A revision may include: adjusting a character's personality or details, correcting a clue, changing the tone of a section, fixing a continuity error, or updating player information that changed after submission.

A revision does not include: changing the theme, setting, or guest list entirely; requesting a fundamentally different game; or requesting changes that contradict the original intake submission without additional payment.

Revision requests must be submitted within 14 days of delivery. Requests submitted after 14 days may be declined or treated as a new order.

🛡️ Content Policy

What We Will Write

• Adult humor at the comfort levels specified in your intake form
• Flirtatious or romantic character dynamics (when requested)
• Playful teasing based on inside jokes you provide
• Dark comedy, morally grey characters, and fictional crimes
• Exaggerated versions of real personalities (with consent implied by submission)
• Fictional scandals, secrets, and motives

What We Will Not Write

• Defamatory content — statements that could damage a real person's reputation
• Hate speech — content targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Real criminal accusations — content that accuses a real person of an actual crime
• Non-consensual sexual content of any kind
• Content involving minors in any sexual or inappropriate context
• Private medical, financial, sexual, or family information without explicit consent from the person involved
• Content using copyrighted characters, trademarked franchises, or recognizable real celebrities without rights
• Content designed to genuinely embarrass, harm, or harass a specific person

Customer Responsibility

By submitting your intake form, you confirm that:

• All inside jokes and personal details you provide are consensual and intended in good fun
• You have permission to include details about the guests you've listed
• You are not requesting content intended to harm, embarrass, or defame any real person
• Any images you upload are ones you have rights to use
• All players are adults (18+) if you are requesting adult content

We reserve the right to decline any order that we determine violates this content policy, with a full refund issued.

🤖 AI-Assisted Production Disclosure

Plot Twist Parties uses AI-assisted creative production to generate custom murder mystery games. This means:

• Your intake data is used to construct prompts that generate your game content
• Generated content is reviewed by a human before delivery for quality, tone, safety, and consistency
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be perfect on the first pass — this is why revisions exist
• Your personal data is used only for game production and is not sold or shared with third parties

AI-assisted production is how we can offer fully custom games at this price point and turnaround time. The human review step is how we ensure quality and safety.

📄 License & Usage Rights

Personal Use License

When you purchase a game kit, you receive a personal use license. This means:

• You may print and use the game for your personal, non-commercial party
• You may print multiple copies for your guests
• You may share the files with your guests for their personal use in the game
• You may make minor edits to DOCX files for your own use

What You May Not Do

• Resell, redistribute, or share the files publicly
• Use the game for commercial events (corporate events, paid parties, etc.) without a commercial license
• Claim the game as your own original work
• Upload the files to any file-sharing platform
• Use the game content as the basis for a published work without permission

Commercial License

If you want to use a Plot Twist Parties game for a commercial event, contact us to discuss commercial licensing options.

🔒 Privacy

We collect personal information through your intake form solely for the purpose of creating your custom game. This includes names, personality descriptions, inside jokes, and party details you provide.

• Your data is used only to produce your game
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not use your guests' personal information for any purpose other than game production
• Order data is retained for 12 months to support re-download requests and revision requests
• You may request deletion of your data by contacting us via Etsy

By submitting your intake form, you consent to the collection and use of this information for game production purposes.

⚖️ Limitation of Liability

Plot Twist Parties provides custom digital entertainment products. We are not responsible for:

• How guests react to game content
• Printing costs or errors on your end
• Party outcomes, interpersonal conflicts, or social consequences of game play
• Technical issues with your devices or printers
• Delays caused by incomplete intake submissions

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for your order. In no event shall Plot Twist Parties be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through Etsy's dispute resolution process or, if necessary, binding arbitration.
